We are hiring for a Senior Product Manager! We are looking for someone who will contribute the product team a solid knowledge of the various constraints of the business that can come from across the organization – marketing, sales, client management, finance, legal and privacy. The senior product manager must also closely collaborate with these areas and their team to discover effective solutions and then deliver those solutions to the market.

As a Senior Product Manager at SMG, this is what you will do:

• Dedicated to 2-3 Product Development team as a member of the Product Trio: Product Management, Product Design, Engineering.

• Clearly defines problem statements and collaborates with the Product Trio on solutions.

• Writes effective Product Plans for the given domain that clearly defines North Star Metrics and goals.

• Uses the Product Plan to break work into Initiatives, Epics, and User Stories with the defined components in the Product Operating Model as documented and employed at SMG.

• Defines success criteria up front and evaluates post-release.

• Develops and maintains the roadmap for their domain; mentors other members of the Product Team on their domain roadmaps.

• Develops product documentation as needed.

• Gains and maintains deep domain knowledge around the product they are serving, our clients and our industries.

• Prioritizes work for the Engineering team based on the vision and priorities of the company, value and viability, and given the input of all appropriate stakeholders.

You are a perfect match for the role if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

• 5+ years of product management experience required

• Has a solid understanding of technical infrastructure and is astute at pulling together complex concepts to turn into requirements/roadmap.

• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.

• Advanced understanding of user personas and how to apply them to use case creation.

• Advanced ability to develop product and marketing.

• Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
