Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health Plan and Payer Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. This role will focus on developing new business relationships with health plans, payers, and managed care organizations, as well as expanding existing partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in health plan or payer sales, with a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and value-based care models. They will play a key role in positioning L-Nutra’s metabolic health solutions as essential components of preventive care and chronic disease management.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand L-Nutra’s presence within the health plan and payer verticals.
• Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at health plans, payers, and managed care organizations, including executives, claims managers, network managers, and client managers.
• Pipeline Management: Proactively manage a sales pipeline of prospective health plan and payer clients, tracking progress and ensuring consistent movement through the sales funnel.
• Value Proposition Articulation: Communicate L-Nutra Health’s value proposition effectively to prospective clients, emphasizing the health, financial, and engagement benefits of our metabolic and chronic disease management programs.
• Collaborative Partnering: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, clinical, and product development, to ensure alignment on messaging and client needs. Provide feedback to enhance program offerings and meet client requirements.
• Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing research on the payer market, including emerging trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. Use insights to refine sales strategies and position L-Nutra as a leader in the field.
• Contract Negotiations & Compliance: Lead negotiations for client agreements, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and establishing terms that align with L-Nutra’s growth objectives.
• Revenue & Growth Goals: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, contributing directly to L-Nutra’s growth in the health plan and payer segments.
Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the health plan, payer, or managed care sectors, preferably with a focus on health solutions or wellness programs.
• Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of health plan operations, reimbursement processes, and value-based care. Familiarity with metabolic health and chronic disease management is a plus.
• Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a complex sales environment, with experience in closing multi-year contracts and managing extended sales cycles.
• Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust with high-level decision-makers in the health plan and payer ecosystem.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences.
• Problem Solving: Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to navigate challenges and work collaboratively with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
