Our company, a leader in the Early Childhood Education industry, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Scheduling and Production Planner. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our Kitting and Amazon fulfillment production areas for our various business entities: Discount School Supplies, Really Good Stuff, and Steve Spangler Science. This role requires a creative and innovative individual who is adaptable and resilient in the face of challenges. Collaboration and teamwork are key, as is the ability to learn and grow quickly in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and agility in all aspects of their work.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and track orders from various streams, ensuring that specific milestones are met, and any delays or obstacles are identified early.
- Work closely with operations, sales, outbound shipping, and inbound teams across all organizations to ensure order and fulfillment goals are met.
- Clearly communicate the status of all orders within the pipeline, including future orders, and identify potential roadblocks or delays early in the process.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring clear communication at all levels of the company.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; College experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in a technical role or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Creativity and innovation in problem-solving and process improvement.
- Proven ability to adapt and show resilience under pressure.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Fast learner with the ability to grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and agility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to multitask, with keen attention to detail.
- Proactive approach in identifying and addressing potential roadblocks.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization, from hourly employees to the CEO.
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Timely and effective communication about the status of all orders within the pipeline.
- Identification of potential roadblocks or delays early in the process.
- Maintenance of strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders.
- Achievement of customer-defined metrics.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Majority of work is conducted while standing or walking.
- Occasionally lifts packages up to 40 pounds.
- This position requires some daily tasks to be completed while sitting at a computer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electric shock.
- Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
- Temperatures range from a low of 50 degrees in the winter to 90 or above in the summer.
- Dust and dirt can be airborne and at times may impact air quality.
