Excelligence is seeking a talented and motivated Freelance Artist to join our team. As a Creative Storyteller, you will play a pivotal role in bringing captivating narratives to life through your artistic abilities. This role is ideal for someone who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

This is a Part-Time role that will work on special projects as needed and must be able to be in the office located Monterey, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and develop visually appealing artwork that effectively communicates compelling stories and engages our target audience.
• Collaborate with the Team leader to brainstorm ideas and create cohesive storylines through art.
• Understand the application of art in both classroom and home settings, particularly in relation to children's educational materials.
• Pay meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that illustrations are accurate and aligned with the project requirements.
• Meet project deadlines consistently and manage your time effectively to deliver high-quality artwork on schedule.
• Stay up to date with current trends and techniques in children's art and bring innovative ideas to the table.
• Work independently while maintaining effective communication with the project manager and team members.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a freelance artist or in a similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio that demonstrates exceptional artistic skills and storytelling ability.
• Expertise in various artistic mediums, such as illustration, digital art, painting, and/or graphic design.
• Familiarity with children's art and its application in educational and home settings.
• Exceptional creativity and the ability to envision and develop engaging storylines through art.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, enabling you to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a remote team environment.
