Essential Responsibilities

  • Design and manage a centralized data architecture solution.
  • Review and analyze data infrastructure, planning future databases, and implementing solutions to store and manage data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand BI requirements, design needs, and implementation strategies.
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI Visualization and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau).
  • Manage current data storage tools (e.g. Snowflake).
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate 3 party system data into our environment.
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
  • Implement and Execute data governance best practices.
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst.
  • Industry experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical schemas (data modeling).
  • General knowledge of DBMS platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
  • In-depth understanding of ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework (e.g. Matillion), DBMS (e.g. Snowflake), and online analytical processing and visualization (e.g. Tableau) and their administration.
  • Understanding of or experience with cloud providers (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations, security protocols, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in languages like SQL or Python for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
  • Analytical mindset to troubleshoot issues, optimize queries, and improve data performance.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, communicate complex ideas, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Understanding of project lifecycles, agile methodologies, and project management tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Outlook is required.
  • Less than 10% Travel required.
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends.

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
  • Knowledge of restaurant industry (operations, management) preferred.
  • Previous experience in similar role strongly preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including papers, boxes and/or computer equipment.
